Frontedo MCP connector v2: let your AI assistant work on your site, safely

The second version of the Frontedo MCP connector is now in testing.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant work with the tools you already use. With the Frontedo connector, your assistant can understand your website and help you maintain it, without you copying and pasting content back and forth.

What changes in v2

Version 1 was read-only: the assistant could look at your site, but not help you change it. Version 2 adds the missing half. Your assistant can now:

• Read your pages, posts, menus, categories, tags and media library, in every language of your site.
• Prepare drafts of new pages and posts, or new versions of existing ones, in one language at a time.
• Look after the details that are often neglected, such as image descriptions for accessibility and tag naming.

Built so you stay in control

An assistant that can write on your site must also be an assistant you can trust. That is why the connector is designed around a few firm limits:

• Nothing is published by the assistant. Content always lands as a draft, visible only in your Frontedo panel, until a person reviews it and publishes it.
• Nothing is permanently deleted. The connector has no way to remove content for good.
• One key, one site. Each access key is limited to a single website and cannot reach anything else.

Why it matters

Editorial work is full of small, repetitive tasks: first drafts, translations into other languages, consistent titles and descriptions, alt text on dozens of images. These are exactly the jobs an assistant does well, and exactly the jobs that eat your time. With the connector, the assistant does the groundwork and you keep the final say.
